11/02/2008 - Johnathan "Buzzer" Bullough
A 30 minute stoppage was required in the 1st team game between Ashton Town and Padiham, after Ashton Town’s Jonathan Bullough suffered a compound fracture of his right leg. The Edge Hill College student will spend his 20th birthday in hospital after undergoing an operation on Saturday evening to have a metal bar inserted in his leg and bolts at the ankle.
Ashton Town Chairman Ian Williams said: "Jonathan was making only his second first team appearance after being out for four months, following an injury where he sustained four broken metatarsals in his foot.  It is a tragedy for him as he was due to go on a skiing holiday in a fortnight, and also had a coaching course in America lined up during the summer break.
"On behalf of everyone at Ashton Town I would like to give my thanks for the support we received from Padiham FC when the incident occurred, especially team manager Anthony McCluskey who assisted our club physio Keith O'Brien throughout".

02/06/2007 - Ashton Town New Sponsors D-Zine (Contractors) Ltd
Ashton Town Chairman Ian Williams can confirm new sponsors for his club today, talks have been taking place over the past two weeks with the managing director Chris Boardman of D-ZINE (Contractors)Ltd, Chris's company sponsored the North West Counties Football League Cup Competitions this year, and during a match last season Chris mentioned to Ian that it would be nice to see his company logo on the front of a football kit, so Ian contacted Chris and asked him if he was still interested in sponsoring a team, unknown to Ian several other teams had also had the same idea from the League so Ian put a package together.

During this period Ian spoke to Chris on several occasions and on Friday evening they got together to watch the England game with a few friends and several drinks later the sponsorship deal was agreed, Ian is looking forward to working with Chris and to maximise the promotion of his company throughout the North West.

The sponsorship deal is for one season but with the view for an option of another year, also the rest of the Town's committee and management team have also been busy looking for sponsors and have three other different companies sponsoring drill tops and sub suits for the first and second team squads, we are also looking for sponsors for our under 18s who under the new management team are playing in the North West Youth Alliance League.
